Winning this award not only acknowledges JUNA TECH’s innovation capabilities but also reinforces its commitment to industrializing green technologies.

The national standard drafted by the company was officially released

The newly published national standard, "Performance Testing and Evaluation of Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Production Electrodes" (GB/T 45092-2024), will be implemented starting March 1, 2025. As a key contributor, JUNA TECH actively participated in drafting this first-ever national standard for alkaline water electrolysis electrodes. This standard is applicable to ALK electrodes and AEM electrodes, and specifies the test methods for the ultrasonic peeling rate, overpotential, positive and negative polarization stability, electrolysis voltage and electrolysis voltage change rate, and fluctuating electrolysis stability of the electrode, as well as the corresponding performance evaluation requirements. As the first national standard for alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production electrodes in China, this specification fills the gap in the industry, provides a unified basis for the performance evaluation and horizontal comparison of green hydrogen electrodes, and solves the previous problems of inconsistent test methods, incomparable data, and difficulty in evaluating test results.

During the drafting process, JUNA TECH collaborated closely with industry experts and other stakeholders to define critical performance and stability indicators for real-world applications.

Leveraging its extensive experience in large-scale electrolysis electrode manufacturing, JUNA TECH contributed practical and scientifically validated testing methodologies to the standard.

Additionally, JUNA TECH has shared its research on high-current-density, low-energy-consumption electrode performance evaluation, further strengthening the standard’s scientific rigor and industry applicability.

As a technology leader in the hydrogen energy sector, JUNA TECH has established a fully integrated R&D platform covering materials development, performance testing, and industrial production.

  1. The company adheres to internal testing standards that exceed industry benchmarks, ensuring stable performance under various operating conditions.
  2. The new national standard provides a benchmark evaluation tool for the industry, helping upstream and downstream enterprises unify technical standards and improve component quality.

In addition, Juna Technology has maintained close cooperation with the country's first electrolyzer core component testing center "Pengzhou Green Hydrogen Center" and the "China Hydrogen Energy Alliance Research Institute", and completed the project application for the Sichuan local standard "Proton Exchange Membrane Electrode Performance Evaluation Method for Hydrogen Production by Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis" and the group standard project "Alkaline Electrode Detection Method in Industrial Cells". Juna Technology hopes to strengthen cooperation with upstream and downstream companies to accelerate the improvement of the testing standards for water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment and jointly promote the overall upgrade and technological progress of hydrogen energy equipment.

Winning the IIPCC Green Innovation Award and contributing to a new national standard represents a major milestone in JUNA TECH’s commitment to innovation, standardization, and international collaboration.

Moving forward, JUNA TECH will:

  1. Strengthen its R&D efforts and industrial applications.
  2. Deliver high-efficiency solutions to accelerate hydrogen technology advancements.
  3. Support the global transition to green energy with scalable and standardized solutions.
